We are currently operating at full capacity, which may result in delayed response times.

Thank you for reaching out to our rescue. At this time, we are operating beyond capacity and are stretched thin both financially and physically. We are currently caring for over 125 cats and kittens, and unfortunately, we do not have enough fosters or volunteers to take in additional animals.

We understand how challenging it can be to find a cat or kitten in need of help, and we want to provide guidance on the best practices for these situations. If you are interested in volunteering with our rescue or are willing to foster, please complete our foster information form. to submit a intake request form please click the button below. Again, responce time may vary, and in an emergency please refer to the resourses below.

What to Do If You Find a Cat or Kitten

Assess the Situation:

  • Healthy and Friendly Cat: The cat might be a stray or lost pet. Post about the cat on local community boards, neighborhood apps, or social media groups. Check for a collar or microchip by visiting a nearby vet clinic.

  • Kittens: If you find kittens, ensure the mother isn’t nearby before intervening. Mother cats often leave temporarily to hunt or rest. Observe from a safe distance for several hours.

Provide Temporary Care (If Possible):

  • Offer food, water, and a safe space if you can. If you’re unable to care for the animal yourself, try reaching out to neighbors or friends who may be able to help.

Contact Local Resources:

  • Reach out to other rescues, community shelters, or TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) organizations in your area. You can find many of these in your area on social media pages.
  • If the cat is injured or in critical condition, take it to an emergency animal hospital immediately for professional care. If you are unable to afford medical care, hospitals like VREC in wesbury and VEG in commack will take surrendered injured animals and wildlife. Also you can contact the local shelter that is in your area.
